MiniPix.io shrinks and tidies up images in a batch, with one firm rule: your photos should never have to be uploaded to a stranger's server to be made smaller.
Why it exists
Almost every free image compressor works the same way. You upload your files, a server shrinks them, and you download the result while hoping the copies really were deleted. For a screenshot, fine. For a folder of client photos, a set of product shots under embargo, or pictures of your family, that upload is a small act of trust you repeat without thinking. Browsers can do this work locally now, so the MiniPix.io compressor does, and the upload simply disappears.
How it works
A modern browser can decode an image, redraw it on a canvas at a lower quality or a smaller size, and encode it back out, entirely on your device. MiniPix.io is built on that and nothing more. Open your browser's network tab while you compress a batch and you will watch it go quiet after the page loads. There is no paid tier that changes this, because there is no server step to sell.
